varieties

Clifford - an erect tree with dense foliage. This is one of the two hermaphrodites which makes it a must for all orchrds. The medium size beans are of good quality with 50% + sugar content. An early fruit bearer on young trees.Yiels are excellent with irrigation. This is the best variety we have.

Santa Fe - A more open tree than the Clifford. This is one of the two available hermaphrodites.May have a tendency for disease if in hot humid conditions. The large light brown beans have a sugar content less than 50%.

Tylliria  -Grows well inland into an erect tree.Pods are red-brown and have about 50%+ sugar content.Pods can be difficult to remove by hand and tree shaker. This variety in particular needs irrigation to set the full potential off fruit.Under ideal conditions Tylliria is one of the better yielding trees.

Amele - grows well inland into an open tall tree.Pods are flat and medium size with 50%+ sugar content.Yiels well.

Casuda - grows well inland into an erect tree. The dark brown pods are medium size and have a sugar content 50%+.This tree yields well with supplementary irrigation.

Sfax - An open tree with sparse foliage and brittle branches(needs wind protection to protect tearing of branches).Pods are very dark brown and large with 50%+ sugar content. This variety is regarded as a must by most people because of the flavour of the raw beans.Yield is good but can miss a year now and then.

Badan - an erect tree with ideal mechanical harvesting shape.Long dark beans with 50%+ sugar content. This variety is of good The sugar co quality and yields well with supplementary irrigation.

Cypriot - open sprawling tendency which makes it difficult to train for mechanical harvesting. The short dark beans are of good quality with 50%+ sugar content.

Laguna - Bushy tree with thick foliage. Small to moderate size beans with good flavour. Sugar content about 40-50%. Very good yield.

Molino - Open tree with sparse foliage. Medium size beans and moderate in yield. The sugar content is unknown but probably below 50%.

Tantillo - Open erect tree. Medium size beans with a good yield. Sugar level unknown but probably less than 50%.

Bath - A medium size tree. The large pods are a dark brown, long and often curled and have a sugar content of 50%+. This variety is suited to Australian conditions and yields are good.

Waite - An erect tree which has the ability to have beans early after grafting. This tree is ideal to shape for mechanical harvesting. The beans are medium to large dark brown and have a sugar content in excess of 50%. It has good yiels and should be considered in all orchards.

Maitland - An open tree with medium vegetation. This tree does not have beans after grafting for several years, but once it does flower and fruit it has excellent yields. The beans are long and sometimes curled and are dark brown. It has sugar content of 50%plus.

Irlam - A medium size and shape tree easily pruned for mechanical harvesting. The large beans are long, fleshy and brown. This would be potentially the best yielding tree of all. The beans have a sugar content of at least 50 percent.
